Queer Zen: Take a breath, then take another...

Queer Zen is a free virtual nontraditional meditation practice with a focus on being present in a queer inspired space.

Using breath, we connect with ourselves and connect with others.

Join us on Zoom for our weekly meditations:

  • Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM EST co-sponsored by CALM with The LOFT LGBT Community Center. Register here for Zoom link and password.

  • Saturdays from 9:30 - 9:40 AM EST for our Seven Minute Saturday Morning Sit followed by a chance to chat with the meditation facilitator on our @queerzenmeditation IG account.

Beginners are encouraged to join.

There are many beliefs attached to meditation.  Some of these beliefs make it more challengin to start meditating.  Below are a two videos that can help you get started on meditation. 

 

The first short video is a great way to learn about the basics, while the second video takes you on the personal journey of a monk as he shares the benefits of meditation.
