Thank You for Your Bravery Pride Card

MPride for GoFundMe.jpg

It takes bravery for those who are LGBTQIA+ to be their most authentic selves. It takes bravery to choose to work in defense of your country. And it takes incredible bravery to be LGBTQIA+ and part of the military. From “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” to banning transgender folx from serving in the military, the LGBTQIA+ community has been historically discriminated against in the US military. However, history will show time and time again how important it is to include a wide range of diversity in any institution or organization.

Queermark offers you an opportunity to celebrate Pride with our "Thank You for Your Bravery Pride” card.

Send these cards to family and friends to remind them how their bravery makes a world of difference to the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond.

Spreading Love In All Its Forms

Queery launched a Valentine's card to help spread love in all its forms in 2021.

As kids, we were taught to love everyone; our parents, siblings, family, friends, neighbors & community members.  As we grow older, we come to celebrate Valentine's Day with the romantic side of love.

The marketing of the holiday and many of its accoutrements are geared towards cisgendered heteronormative romance, which is a limited way to think about love and who we feel love for.

Let's spread the full message of love this Valentine's Day.  Whether it's to your partner or your friend, your neighbors or your coworkers, folx in your religious community or in your LGBTQ+ communities, everyone can use more love in their life.  Receiving this card will definitely put a smile on someone's face.

Send this card to all those that you care about and love in all its many forms.  Remind folx to be bold, be strong & be fabulous.  This is the perfect way to tell the special people in your life that you love and appreciate them, and that you've shared great times together, made wonderful memories, and have a loving bond.

Riddle Scale
Positive Levels of Attitude

Support
Admiration
Appreciation
Nurturance

Based on the Riddle Scale, "acceptance" of LGBTQ+ people, which is what many organizations and people have rightfully fought for, is still considered at the homophobic level.  Looking at the positive levels of attitude towards LGBTQ+ people in the Riddle Scale, we can see that one can offer support, admiration, appreciation and nurturance.

Queery's  2020 National Coming Out Day Project focused on those four positive levels of attitude where people can support, admire, appreciate and nurture LGBTQ+ and allied communities.  The project is called Queermark, a "queercentric" greeting card project.

Launching in 2020 on October 11th, National Coming Out Day, our first official Queermark card is the "Thank You for Coming Out!" card with our own famous "Sticks & Stones" font complete with the colors from the Progress Flag.

The purpose of this first card is to encourage people to support, admire, appreciate, and nurture those who come out to them with a concrete and powerful message.

We had a modest goal with our first project, which is to offer 100 opportunities for people to feel supported, admired, appreciated and nurtured for the emotional and psychological work it takes to come out.  This can be done with 100 supporters  purchasing cards, 10 supporters purchasing bulk orders or a mix of the two.  Supporters can be people or organizations for or within LGBTQ+ communities.

Imagine not only fighting for LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance, but offering the highest level of positive attitude towards LGBTQ+ people directly.

A note about the responsibility of giving someone this card: If someone comes out to you, they might not be out to everyone. This means that you may want to give them this card in private and have a conversation with them about how they feel about receiving and keeping this card.

Queery has also taking the time to make an Intersectional Riddle to include the BIPOC community which you can find here.
